Meet Irene

Learn more about my journey as a photographer, my creative process, and the small, beautiful details that inspire my work.

My Journey

Hi, I’m Irene — a photo storyteller with a heart for little details and fleeting light. I picked up my first camera as a teenager trying to capture the quiet charm of rainy windows and messy breakfast tables. Since then, photography has become my way of slowing down and holding on to life’s in-between moments.

Over the years, I’ve wandered through cities, coastlines, forests, and festivals — always searching for stories hidden in stillness or chaos. My blog started as a side project to share those stories. Now, it’s a living journal — part travelogue, part visual poetry, and always a piece of my soul.

Behind the Lens

My kit is simple, and that’s how I like it. I shoot mostly with my Fujifilm X-T4 and a couple of favorite prime lenses — light, fast, and just the right amount of imperfect.

I’m drawn to natural light, soft shadows, and real-life color tones. I rarely stage anything. My style is best described as candid, moody, and quietly personal. I love portraiture, urban exploration, and documenting travel without the pressure of perfection.

A Few Things About Me

  • I never travel without a notebook and a playlist (lo-fi beats, 90s alt-rock, and an unreasonable number of acoustic ballads).

  • My favorite cities to photograph? Lisbon, Kyoto, and Tallinn.

  • I’m obsessed with abandoned buildings and overgrown places.

  • If I could live inside a Wes Anderson film, I’d probably choose Moonrise Kingdom.

  • Tea over coffee. Always.

  • I believe some of the best photos happen when you almost put the camera away.
